Everson joins the Wild Things as field manager for the 2010 season. Everson was part of the Florida Marlins organization for the past four years, serving most recently as field manager with the Greensboro Grasshoppers of the Class-A South Atlantic League during the 2009 season. In 2007 and 2008, he served as field manager of the Jamestown Jammers of the New York-Penn League. His 2008 Jammers team compiled a 47-29 record, advancing to the championship series before losing to Batavia. He first joined the Marlins organization as the hitting coach for the Florida State League’s Jupiter Hammerheads in 2006. Prior to his professional coaching career, Everson served as an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles from 2003 to 2004.
